Giving

Giving is an act of worship, as the Bible teaches us.

In Matthew 6:21, Jesus says, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”  This means that our giving reflects what we value most in our hearts. Giving is a way to express our love and devotion to God. In 2 Corinthians 8-9, the apostle Paul expands on this concept and encourages us to excel in the grace of giving. He reminds us that God loves a cheerful giver, and our giving brings praise and thanksgiving to God.  Giving is a natural response to God’s abundant grace towards mankind. As we give, we put our hearts with Him and worship Him.

Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6: 38
